Off-piste skiing and ski touring in the fabulous powder snow of British Colombia

i

With its “Far West” appearance, Revelstoke gives the impression of a town which has been sealed off in a remote valley since the creation of Canada.  A simple place with nothing flashy or trendy and no “bling bling” … Revelstoke is a base for adventurers devoted to mountain activities.  But this simplicity is superficial:  it is the home of the Canadian Avalanche Association.  Some of the world’s best mountain and ski guides train in Revelstoke and from there travel all over the world.  Revelstoke is also the birthplace of Canadian heli-skiing.

i

Sunshine and Kicking Horse are also two ski resorts with a playground for off-piste skiing absolutely passionate. Impressive corridors and beautiful fir trees forests will be the setting of our off-piste descents.

i

During the descent you will be delighted by the powder snow … 12-18 metres falls here annually each winter.

And your legs, will they hold out during the more than 15 kilometres distance that will be covered ?

i

These Canadian mountains have a wild and savage air : the sights, smells and sounds of grizzly, pines, cedars, glaciers, rocks and powder snow overwhelm the senses.

Everything here is very vertical and very high !

A real mountain for experienced off-piste skiers.  Mountains as I like them - rugged and wild.

i

These ski resorts are considered by many as the world’s most beautiful off-piste ski area.
